Description
Based on a guitar arpeggiato ostinato in which the bass descends by semitones each bar from tonic to dominant (or possibly from gin to tonic.. er ahem!...), this quartet was born from a project to unite some amateur musicians from Oxford and Cambridge (the rivers being the Cam and the Isis hence the title). The project never took off but this is the remaining fruit.
