Description
The guardsmen in Gilbert and Sullivan's operetta Princess Ida find their armour too hot and heavy so they proceed to strip off the various pieces as they sing "Their aid we thus disclaim".
In this version, while the actors take a short break from rehearsals, the sister of one of the actors, Anita, comes round with her own version of the song to entertain them. Same music, more or less, but the words are those of a stripper and the men's chorus becomes more and more excited.
The performance you can hear here is by my one-man multitrack choir dwsChorale.
